Fast and efficient retention of polluting liquids

The manual spill barriers manufactured by LCF TECHNOLOGIES make it possible to simply and effectively retain liquid pollutants for an economical low cost.

We have a wide variety of models adapted to your needs. Depending on the final choice of spill barrier type, these are often recommended for warehouses with few pedestrian doorways or vehicles to protect, and for doorways without excessive traffic of people or vehicles, so that they can always remain in horizontal position and prevent possible leakages. Safety is one of the fundamental imperatives of our spill barrier designs. We recommend leaving the manual barriers lowered to protect the doors, especially during periods of inactivity.

Thanks to the work of our R&D+i department, we are constantly improving all our products to adapt to the highest quality standards and our customers’ demands. We develop new designs and improve existing ones. We therefore have two major categories of manual spill barriers:

1. Manual plug-in barrier.

This spill barrier is of unsurpassed quality and is easy to operate. It is inserted between two rails pre-installed at the ends of the doorway being protected, so that pressure can be applied with manual levers. These spill barriers are used both for pedestrian doorways and for doorways that large vehicles pass through.

As it is a fully manual system that requires some time to engage, we only recommend installing this type of spill barrier in doorways without much pedestrian or vehicle traffic. That way, the spill barrier can be left engaged and only lowered when necessary. Personnel must be trained on its operation and the procedure included in the self-protection plan.

Installation requirements

  • Smooth and flat floor

2.Spill barrier with manual fastening.

We have three models of spill barrier with manual gas spring and manual fastening: Single, double and U-shaped, to be installed in any kind of doorway. They are activated manually but work much faster than the pop-up model.

In vertical position, the spill barrier is held in place with a pin bolt. When the pin bolt is removed, the spill barrier must be lowered manually at first, then allowed to fall, then secured using the lever located on the receiver piece. To lift the spill barrier, the lever must be manually released to allow the barrier to rise with the help of the gas spring, then the pin bolt refastened.

As it is a fully manual system that requires some time to engage, we only recommend installing this type of spill barrier in doorways with very little pedestrian or vehicle traffic. That way, the spill barrier can be left engaged and only lifted when necessary. It is a good substitute for the pop-up spill barrier in large doorways, as it can be easily operated by a single worker. Personnel must be trained on its operation and the procedure included in the self-protection plan.
